Hard Boiled Eggs | How to boil eggs in 5 minutes using Instant Pot?

How many of you have a hard time getting perfectly boiled eggs each time?  I always had a hard time when I tried to peel the skin off.   Now the Hard Boiled Eggs have been a breeze after making them in the instant pot.  The skin peels off easily and doesn't take long to boil them this way.

You will not believe how quickly we can boil the eggs….YES, it will only take 5 minutes to boil the eggs using this method.  Traditional method of boiling eggs on the stove used to take 15-20 minutes and I used to hesitate making them specially on the week days as there are so many  things to worry about in the morning.

My son loves Hard Boiled Eggs, specially the egg whites.  He is a vegetarian, so I am happy the loves eggs which is a good source of protein for him.  Actually boiled eggs are my favorite too, in my salad or just like that when I need additional protein for the day.

So are you ready to try this method??  I promise, you will never go to the traditional method after trying it in the Instant Pot.

Hard Boiled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 eggs
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

Add water in the steel pot and place the rack.  Now place the eggs on the rack itself.  Close the lid and seal the vent.

Set the pot on manual on high pressure for 5 mins and quick release after the time is up.  In a mixing bowl, add water and ice.  Place the boiled eggs in the bowl for another 5 minutes which will help them stop cooking.

Once the eggs have cooled down, peel the skin and enjoy them with salt n pepper.
