Kala Chana Chaat

Kala Chana which is also called black chickpea.  One of the healthiest options specially for people with diabetes.  Kala chana has low glycemic index and is full of dietary fibre which also make this chaat/salad a wonderful option for weight watchers.

No one in my family like regular kala chanay with rice.  I eat it because it is good for you.   So my husband tried this chaat and kind of liked it.  I made this a few days, but didn’t get a chance to post it.  Due to the festivities in the past few days, there has been so many sweet posts. Sonal from simplyvegetarian777 started the portion control week, so I thought this is the perfect time for something which is low in calories and get back in shape.

Now add the boiled chickpeas, salt, chaat masala, lemon or lime along with cubed avocado and cilantro.  Mix well and put in the refrigerator for an hour or so.  This will let the flavors marry.
