Mix Fruit Chaat

We all have this issue in their household when we have fruits in the fridge and no one is eating it and sometimes there are certain fruits that you don’t enjoy otherwise, add those in it too along with the ones you like and you got yourself a yummy healthy snack. I made this during Navratri too, and my husband enjoyed it.  This is also a lovely fast( Vrat) snack which will keep you satisfied for a few hours.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, peeled and cubed
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 pear, peeled and cubed
  • 1 nectarine, cubed
  • 1 small potato, boiled or baked
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp tamarind pulp
  • grated ginger
  • 4-5 mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

First, bake or boil a potato.  I baked it in the microwave.  Let it cool down for a few minutes so you can peel and cut.  In a frying pan, heat the oil.  Add the potato cubes until they are crispy, stirring and turning in between.  Set aside to cool down.

Mix Fruit ChaatIn a mixing bowl,  add all the fruits you like.  You can cut it directly into the mixing bowl one by one.  Add the fried potato to the fruits.  Also add salt, cumin powder, chaat masala, grated ginger and tamarind pulp.
