Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all purpose flour maida
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick melted butter 8 tbsps
  • 2 mashed ripe bananas
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup nuts optional
  • ½ tsp cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • First of all take the butter and eggs out of the fridge. Let them be at room temperature. If you forgot to take it out, you can put the eggs in the hot water for a few minutes and melt the butter in the microwave for 30-45 secs. Let it sit for a few to cool down.
  • Now mash the bananas using a fork so that there are no thick lumps. To this you can add vanilla essence, sour cream and cinnamon also. In a small mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and whisk it a couple of times so that everything is mixed well.
  • At this time, add the flour mix into your kitchen mixer if using one.  Now add the butter and eggs together and run it once.  And now the banana and sour cream mixture.  Mix all the ingredients well for a few secs.
  • I used my Kitchen aid mixer to mix. You can use spatula to mix everything together,  Bake it at 325F for about 55-60 minutes depending on your oven.  Bread is done when your tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Once the bread is ready, let it cool down completely.  Cut it into thick slices and serve.  Serve it warm on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. It just taste so awesome.  Do try it and let me know what you think.
