Achaari Aloo

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 medium sized potatoes
  • 1 large onion cubed
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 whole dry red chilies
  • salt to taste
  • 1-2 green chilies chopped
  • 1-2 tsp achaari masala used homemade
  • ¾ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Boil the potatoes, don't over boil so they become mushy. Drain and set them aside to cool down. Peel them and cut it into cubes.
  • In a kadhai, add oil and heat it up. Add mustard seeds and whole red chilies and let it splutter. Then add cubes onions. Sauté for a couple of minutes until translucent.
  • Then add the potatoes, green chilies along with all the spices and mix well. Cover it for a couple of minutes. Now add yogurt and mix it well. Cover it again. Let the flavors marry.
  • These flavorful Achaari Aloo are ready in a jiffy to be served with a paratha, puri or chapati per your choice. I enjoyed it with masoor dal and chaawal.
