Soak the chanas overnight or for about 5-6 hours. Boil it using a pressure cooker along with a little bit of salt until soft.
Mash the chanas using a potato masher or blend it in the blender. I did put the chanas in the blender along with ginger, garlic, green chili, onion and cilantro. Take it out of the blender and add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, besan, bread crumbs and mix well using your hand.
In the palm of your hands , take a little bit of the kebab mixture shape as desired. I have given them a round shape. Shallow fry them in a frying pan or you can deep fry them.
Cook them until both sides are crispy. You can eat it as is with mint chutney, or can be eaten in between the 2 slices of bread making a sandwich or put it in the pita pockets to make a pita sandwich.
Yummy kebabs are ready to eat. Serve hot as per your liking.
