Materials

  • 2 lbs ginger
  • water as needed
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • lemon juice optional (didn't use)
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Start by peeling the ginger root.
  • Cut the ginger into small pieces to make it easier to blend.
  • Place the ginger pieces in a food processor or blender.
  • Add a small amount of water, just enough to help with blending.
  • Blend until you achieve your desired consistency. You can make it smooth or leave it slightly coarse, depending on your preference.
  • Transfer the ginger paste into an airtight container or ice cube trays if you want to freeze it in smaller portions.
  • Store in the refrigerator for immediate use or in the freezer for longer-term storage.
