Mix Pasta with Soy Protein

Cooking is easy, but when it comes to thinking about what to cook, that is the hard part.  Today, I didn’t know what to cook, so I am thinking but can’t decide on what to prepare for dinner.  I walk into my pantry and see these pasta boxes and decided I shall make it.  But when I pull it down, there is little bit of farfalle, penne and some whole wheat pasta in the pantry.  Boil all of them mixed together so I have enough for all of us. Pasta is  an traditional Italian food which can be prepared so many ways.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of uncooked pasta (farfalle or penne)
  • 8-10 cloves of garlic chopped
  • Morning Star Farms Griller Crumbles (any other soy granules)
  • Pasta Sauce (I used store bought, you can us homemade or store bought)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Red crushed peppers
  • Olive Oil
  • Basil Leaves
  • Garlic powder
  • Hot Sauce

Directions:

Boil the water in a pot with olive oil and salt.  Add the pasta to the boiling water and let it cook for 12-15 minutes.  Make sure you check it after 12 minutes as you don’t want your pasta to overcook.  Drain in the cold water when done.

In a pan, add about 2 tablespoons of olive oil.  Let it heat up a little then add the chopped garlic and stir it for a couple of minutes.  Now add the soy protein to the garlic and sautee for another few minutes.
